Mander is a Lemmy instance to share science and nature related content. We can discuss about growing mushrooms, physics, electronics, engineering, discuss scientific papers, and discuss about other STEM and nature related topics. The policy is to try to stay way from politics and polarizing topics as much as possible when it comes to content posted locally, but you are of course free to post and engage with such content in communities that allow it and live in other instances.
The purpose of this application section is to weed out the many bots that register to the site to post ad spam. So, please make a comment about why you are interested in joining this instance, making a specific mention of science and/or nature.
Including your e-mail can be helpful for receiving a notification when your application is approved and for resetting your password if you forget it, but it is NOT required, and you can always add it later if you need to. If you leave the e-mail field empty, simply try to log-in later to check your application status.
