Yeah. I rock climb as my job basically, and my finger health is in the bin most of the time…
I use Sunshine with the Moonlight client for Remote Desktop. With my computer running Tailscale I can connect to it from anywhere. It’s designed for game streaming on a local network, but tweak the bandwidth settings down and it works a treat for remote work.

- Asimov’s The End of Eternity (might have gone without saying)
- Jack Finney’s Time and Again (read it as a kid, so might not actually be that good, but it’s illustrated which is fun!)

I believe a tool called Amulet is kind of the “modern MCEdit”. Might do what you’re looking for.
Very cool! Thanks for sharing!!
Ooo! I like this! I’m trans femme and nonbinary and often use T4T to describe myself because I think I could really only be with people that “get it”. While it’s largely true, there are people that probably wouldn’t consider themselves trans, but are queer in the way that makes them “get it” that I would be perfectly comfortable with. “Queerian” seems to sort of broaden the trans umbrella in a helpful way, while also shifting the focus away from binary trans folk, who, while of course valid in their desires for binary transition, aren’t really queer in the way I mess with.

They seem like they could be translated to just about any sport and naturally organize competitors for the fairest and closest matchups which also makes for very entertaining viewing.

I don’t know the vibe of the cafe I found yet, if it’s only super competitive I probably won’t frequent it at all.

Arkhive (they/she)@lemmy.blahaj.zoneto Games@lemmy.world•Looking for a local co-op game to play with my SO (Steam Deck)English3·15 days agoYeah, it’s a game I chip away at. I’m at a point in it that the levels often take hours and/or multiple sittings to work out.
Arkhive (they/she)@lemmy.blahaj.zoneto Autism@lemmy.world•peculiar interaction i had with a friend1·15 days agoYeah I just used the one I keep handy in text expansion shortcuts in my phone. Didn’t even think twice about needing to escape the character. Oops ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Arkhive (they/she)@lemmy.blahaj.zoneto Autism@lemmy.world•peculiar interaction i had with a friend9·15 days agoI do this a lot too, and most of my friends are very understanding, which has also prompted me to get better about remembering what they were saying so I can recenter the conversation on them once my tangent is over. I had an ex (both of us non-binary) that really couldn’t get past that and see it for what my other friends do (the ‘tism) and only perceived as my (amab on feminizing hrt) talking over them (afab not on hrt) in a “domineering man” kind of way, even though they have way more traditionally masc traits then me (competitiveness, impatience, over confidence in their understanding of things to a point of stubbornness…). I really liked them and thought they understood because they’re also neurodivergent, but just couldn’t get over it or learn to work with it, or even give me the time to improve on it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Glad your friend seems to be on board!!
Arkhive (they/she)@lemmy.blahaj.zoneto Games@lemmy.world•Looking for a local co-op game to play with my SO (Steam Deck)English9·15 days agoI’m a fan of taking turns “driving” for slower paced logic or puzzle games. Titles that come to mind:
- Myst
- Curse of the Golden Idol
- Summertime Madness
- Chants of Sennar
- Superliminal
- Viewfinder
- Baba is You
I can highly recommend all of these as they almost universally benefit from more minds working on them together. I would say Baba is the only one that gets REALLY challenging, but there are good mind and logic bending puzzles throughout them all!
EDIT: I’ll also add that Myst, Golden Idol, and Chants of Sennar (Summertime Madness maybe a little) all benefit from solid note taking and map making This provides a great job for the “copilot” while the other person is managing the actual input device.
It’s sort of the femme version of my given name. There’s a lot of history in my family with that name that I do appreciate and value and want to feel connected to. I did a bunch of research into the names and language of where my family originated and found my new name and instantly fell in love with it. I remember sobbing after writing it down for the first time.
