I feel like I’m extra neutral then. I pay for P+ and Netflix but still “y’arr!” the shows I want to watch simply for the convenience. Would much rather use my own Emby server than have to switch through and navigate their clunky apps.

Seems like it would be easy to develop for, but the ecosystem seems to be pretty locked down due to the permissions model. There’s some ability to jailbreak devices, but it’s not a huge list of supported models.

For basic apps it’d be fine. But if I wanted to make custom applications for SMS, use bluetooth, make a new default dialer (e.g. to add SIP dialing), etc, it wouldn’t be possible since only OEMs can “bless” those. Even the next permission level down (Privileged) requires the apps to be signed by an authorized KaiStore.

Since my goal at the time was to make a lightweight Meshtastic client, I just gave up since I wouldn’t have the necessary permissions to make it work.

My friend works in the billing department of a local hospital, and she will occasionally text me some crazy spellings she comes across.

I have a drying rack, and I use it too.

My washer/dryer are in the basement, so unless it’s winter when I need the humidity, it’s already humid down there so the rack’s efficacy is limited (plus, too humid, and I have to run the dehumidifier to prevent mold). Hanging clothes outside is a no-go for me because, like someone else said, birds frequently shit all over the clean laundry.

I typically pre-dry things on the rack and pop them in the dryer to fluff them up, get the last of the moisture out, and, most importantly, get any remaining dog hair off of them.

Not to mention, making such a blanket statement like that is a bit rude; you don’t know people’s life situations.

I’ve learned to just put the sheets in the dryer by themselves and use the sensor-dry setting (they get washed with everything else, though). They dry pretty fast just by themselves, so I don’t think it’s wasting much, if any, energy by splitting them out. Probably at least breaks even since I put the rest of the wash load on the drying rack while those are in.
